Finding light inside the hardest diagnosis
Hope in Gray began with loss. Three of us lost — or are living with — brain cancer, and we refused to let other families face it in the dark. Gray is the awareness ribbon; hope is what we choose to carry through it.

Krystel Kaminski
Founder and President of Hope in Gray, a non-profit organization committed to raising brain cancer awareness and providing vital support to families and caregivers. The mission of Hope in Gray is deeply personal to Krystel, as she established the organization in memory of her beloved mother, who bravely battled Glioblastoma until her passing in August 2023.

Brianna Apostolopoulos
Brianna Apostolopoulos is the co-founder of Hope in Gray, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to brain cancer in our local communities and supporting those diagnosed, and their families, as they navigate this chapter of life. The mission of Hope in Gray is also personal to Brianna, who was by her mother's side as she battled Glioblastoma until she passed in April 2020.
Treasurer
Kyle Albert
Treasurer of Hope in Gray, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness for brain cancer and supporting affected families. Diagnosed with a Grade 4 Astrocytoma IDH-Mutant in September 2023, Kyle has undergone two craniotomies, the second of which was particularly successful. Despite his diagnosis, Kyle maintains an active lifestyle, playing golf weekly and managing a mortgage brokerage. He is supported by his loving wife and their four amazing dogs.
